Why do alot of people believe blood sucking immortal vampires are real?

I mean seriously, all these questions asking how to become one and if you dare to respond that they aren’t real, people get mad. Does anyone have any type of proof whatsoever that they are actually real? If not, I am just going to keep responding to vampire questions the same way.

Finally I find a sane one in this section! No offense to the other sane ones that I haven’t yet stumbled upon
From what I’ve observed, there are three main types on Y!A:
1) The Twilight Fanatics. They are dreaming about a pedophile sparkly guy to sweep them off their feet and knock them up so they can become immortals. In other words, they are searching for their Edward. (Or Dimitri, or Alexander or whatever vampire-land guy they dream about)
2) The legit believers.They legitimately believe in vampires. They are obsessed and want to desperately fall into another world.
3) The trolls. They know that most of us Y!A users get irritated with the “How do i become a REAL vampire? Don’t say they don’t exist because they DO!!!?” questions. So, they use that and ask. And ask. And ask. To get the reaction they are looking for.
Of course, i’m sure there are other reasons.
And no one has proof they exist. With this kind of belief, the reality of these creatures lie in the belief, much like Religious figures.

because demons are real, and ghost are too….and if these crazy things are real, what else could be? demons and ghosts are immortal, there just in another dimension….sometimes they cross into our dimension…is it crazy to believe there might be something else crazy that happens to be in our dimension? im not saying vampires are real (if they are their definatley not sparkly and gay with “locks of love”) but if they are real would we be suprised?
They can’t draw the line between fiction and non.
In my mind vamp chicks are sexy and wear black leather. Vamp dudes are gay. None of them sparkle, also gay, and very rarely do they fight with werewolves. But they definitely wear leather and look surprisingly like Kate Beckinsale.
Also nice to see the lord woods of bear hasn’t ruined this question that cut-n-paste long and REALLY stupid answer he is posting every chance he gets.
To Bobby: I have said and done nothing to you, yet you feel it necessary to insult me in every one of your answers to any question where I too have answered, or, like this one, that I haven’t answered at all.
I demand that you immediately cease and desist all further such statements directed at me or my answer, as per Yahoo Answers Terms of Service, and furthermore that you immediately delete all references to me or my answer from yours retroactively.
This is apparently the only way to address this matter with you, as you accept neither email or IM.
