They are designed to be suave, usually well built, and often quite wealthy, preferring to be alone, though often seeking young females, to feed from, or copulate with (vampire story’s have to contain sex, if it doesn’t, it’s not a proper vampire story)
They should be fast, and possess almost superhuman strength, and of course not go out in the day, and generally wear black.

BTW: Twilight is not about vampires. it’s about a metrosexual pixie, who happens to be a pedofile aswell.

There are many different kinds of vampires in stories. Usually, the only thing that connects them with modern vampires is the fact that they drink blood. In some mythology, there incredibly ugly beasts that have a human head. Others may only drink blood from cattle, and others from newborn babes. They amount of different types of vampires is staggering.

They most closely resemble Nosferatu. They would sometimes look like they did in life. There are some myths that say they would be floating heads and entrails and such. That is why they started planting thorny bushes around the yard. There are many stories from all parts of the world, so it depends on what you’re looking for.

I think there’s a bonus feature you can look at if you own “The Lost Boys” on DVD. That had a lot of myths you may want to look into.

Ricky, FYI Vampires are very real entities,And all of those doubters out there are in for one hell of a wake up call……. For if you have read any thing about the history of this world from the very ancient of times until the modern history of today you too would believer that vampires and werewolves and merfolks and Satan and his demonic hoard (Fallen Angels) still roam this planet earth today…………………… Also if the Holy Roman Catholic Church did not re-move all of those pages and chapters and books and re-wrote the bible and then tell the people of this world that God gave them permission to do so………. Which is one of the greatest lies that mankind could ever lie about you would be able to read about all of these creatures and spells on how to destroy some of those creatures In those missing books of the bible that the Catholic Church keeps hidden from the world in their vaults……….. Then you would know that disobeying the Catholic Church could save your life when God make;s his decision on who live and those that would suffer death in the pit of fire………………….. Also those that believe that you can baptizes the dead will be burning right next to you………

Look up the real “Dracula” under the name “Vlad The Impaler” to read the history of the legend of vampires. There are some interesting stories related to this guy, including one in which he had all the horse shoes on his horses put on backwards so when they escaped anyone trying to figure out which way they went would go the wrong direction. It’s real history, but not like the movies. Mostly just some very vicious stuff, like cutting lots of heads of victims off and hanging them on poles and things like that. Much of what is now part of “Vampire” story is fiction, but based upon some real stuff somewhat.

The man who started out the vampire myth as we know it was a Turkish aristocrat named Dracula (meaning son of the dragon). He was thought to be a vampire by the common people because he would take captives into his castle and no one would know what would happen to them, so people made up stories. He was very frightening because he was ruthless is his attempt to avenge the premature murder of his father.
In original mythology, all vampires are Eastern European aristocrats. The are also often potrayed as nymphomaniacs, using sex to lure their victms and even to control their minds.

Vampires originally came from Count Dracula.Vampires feed on human blood but there are such things as vegeterian vampires who feed on animal blood, but animal blood does provide enough strength as human blood.Vampires can also walk in the sun if they wear a necklace, ring, earrings, bracelet or tiara that is charmed by a witch (as seen on Vampire Diaries).Vampires don’t fly but they can jump to great heights. They can run really fast, they can compell humans to do things they want them to do and they are super strong. They can die if they don’t wear a ring and come in contact with the sun. They can also die if another vampire pull out their heart, chop off their head or plunge a wooden stake through their heart. They can also die if you burn their bodies dead or alive.Vampires can transform humans into vampires if they feed their vampire blood to humans.

Don’t blame me if this information is wrong they are all from The Vampire Diaries.

Traditionally? Demon-possessed corpses of the recently deceased that rise from the grave to feed on the blood of their loved ones. Many abilities are attributed to them, such as transformation, flight, supernatural speed and strength, telepathy, hypnosis, and, of course, the ability to create and control their own undead servants. There are many, many listed methods of extermination, few of which are very easily performed. Some cultures believed they couldn’t be killed, merely pinned in place to prevent them from feeding. Oh, and the sun, relic, and garlic thing tend to be bunk in some versions.
