Vampires..??
I know there have been like a thousand questions asked about this subject, but I just have to ask again. Are vampires real? I’ve been really interested in them lately and I just have to know. I’m absolutely in love with the idea of them. I think it’d be pretty fun to meet one, maybe even be one. It might just be all the books I’ve been reading and stuff, but everything about vampires seems amazing. I know asking to talk to a real one would be asking too much. (I’m sure you guys don’t like to be bothered or whatever.) So I’ll just make it simple. Are there any out there?
** To those people that are so saying vampires don’t exist, please tell me: What’s making you so sure of this? And yes, before you ask, I have read things on people being attacked by vampires, but all the info was reported from like in 1800′s.

I’m sorry to dissapoint you but, vampires are fantasy figures. But I love your dedication and passion towards them, I bet you read that book with that rose on it. LOL, sorry I can’t remember the title, but it seems to be very popular right now.

I think to a point they’re real, someone told me one time about these people who sleep all day and go out at night and enjoy the taste of blood. but they aren’t actually real. it would be REALLY cool if there were real ones though.

Vampires were made in a folk tale. Vampires are not REAL but im pretty sure there might be at least 1 crazy man in the world which attacked wings to his back and likes blood. A theory about Vampires is that they were created to show death and decomposion. Their are vampire bats and mbye some girl got pregnet by a vampire bat and their baby was a vampire!

It depends on what you are looking for when you say “real vampire,” I personally am a psy sang vampire.. so are many people in my family. I feel that I was born this way. Unlike the ones you see from a Hollywood perspective, vampires are mortal human beings who are energy deficient. They do not fly, turn into bats etc.. I answered this exact question earlier today. If you are a very faithful person, then you might believe that there are some out there…
But today’s society believe that Vampires are mystical creatures. Y’know, they’re entertaining in movies and tv programmes, but they just can’t exist.
HOWEVER, society think this because they are completely boring and don’t want to open their minds to the possibility of it.
I agree, it’d be amazing to see one, or even be one! I just hope they’d be at least half as hot as these guys in movies and tv… But then again, it brings us back to the fact they’re actors and they’re faking the whole vampire scene.
I’ve seen a programme on Youtube and it’s very interesting! There’s this guy and he believes he is a vampire – he drinks blood and all… and has AMAZING hair!

i think there real, but then again im insane, lol. most people you meet will say they don’t exist, but how can we be so sure? it doesnt matter, if you like vampires why don’t you do some research on them, maybe write a book on them, that would be fun, and intersting.
There isnt much concrete evidence to the existence to vampires but there is a physical disease similar to vampirism with symptoms like aversion to light, but i dont remember all of them so i wont list any more

yes, vampires exist. what’s d big deal. in south america, there r a kind of bats, who sucks blood from animals like cows , etc. n in ancient time, when marriners went abroad, their blood was sucked up by these bats sometimes. but these bats drink only once in a month n they r innocent creatures. nothing interesting about them.
Ive been fascinated by vampires since i was young, i don’t think they exist and I’m not sure if they ever did but it would be so great if they had once existed. If they are real i hope i don’t ever get bit i would hat to stay alive for ever and ever.

Vampires like you are reading about do not exist. there are people, people like me, who are consdered vampires. We drink blood, get sick and burn easily in sunlight, and people are attracted to us for unnamable reasons.(not to brag just giving facts) We may not live foever or have sharp fangs, however we’re as close to a vampire as you are going to get.

Vampires such as they are portrayed in books, movies and on TV are not real. This version of the vampire is a modern invention that comes mostly from the Bram Stoker novel Dracula. (The real Vlad Dracula was not a vampire, but Stoker liked his name and violent history, so he used it for his character.)
The idea of vampires as beings who suck away the life-force of the living goes back to ancient Sumer, if not earlier, where various types of demons and ghosts were thought to assault the living. In almost all cultures around the world there has been the belief in some sort of vampiric being, but the details about these beings varries greatly.
In the moderm metaphysical community, starting from the 1800′s (I think), people have believed in the existance of psychic vampires. These are living people who either unconsciously or consciously take energy from the people around them, leaving them feeling tired or drained. These are often people who stir up strong emotions in others (sympathy, guilt, anger, frustration, lust), because strong emotions create readily accessable energy for them to feed upon.
Since the 1980′s and 1990′s a community of self-professed vampires has also developed. Many of these people feel that they need to feed on the life-energy (aka pranna or chi) of other people, to replace their own leaking energy and maintain their health and well-being. Those who drink small amounts of blood are called sanguinarians or sangs. Those who take in energy directly are called psychic vampires or psi-vamps. Those who can take in energy either way are called psy/sang hybrids.

p.s. Don Henrie (in the YouTube video Sanguisugent linked above) is a real vampire, but his fangs are fake. He adopts the image of the vampire that people expect to see. Most real vampires look and act more like this guy:

I think a lot of people have filled you in on what real vampires are like (i.e. sang/psi vampe) already above.
I’d recommend taking a gander at You-Tube with Vampire Zilchy too that Persephone mentioned for an insight to the life & times of an everyday vampire.
It’s not quite the dreamy fantasy filled life of an Anne Rice novel (i.e. no immortality – flying around – super human strength & turning into dust, bats, or wolves) – Though some have a bit of fun with it & do the role play.
I’ve always been fond of the fantasy book/movie vampire & would love to be one of them – but alas, I have to make do with Halloween & a few fancy dress parties where I can put on my black cloak, stick in some fake fangs & pretend to nibble on pretty ladies necks in between my Bloody Mary’s
