But if I had to guess I would say maybe the fact that when she’s sick her body is so focused on the healing portion that it has no time to recognize the drug factor, and in the books it turns on the vampires when she drinks their blood so maybe its the intimacy of drinking from them is what creates the bond. im just guessing.
