I love both versions. The only things I’m disappointed in are Erics short hair and sleezy preppy boy look and Sookie not being as busty as she is in the book..though otherwise she is perfect. I’m glad Lafayette got to stay alive.

If people don’t like how Alan Ball chooses to tell the story, then don’t watch it. A few million people (more) this season have decided it’s worth watching. I’ve read every single damn book, some better than others, liked them, but absolutely love the series.

people keep talking about eric and sookie but what about the fact that layette was dead in the series, or the fact that maryanne never played a pivotal role in the books, the fact is true blood takes the things it likes like the characters and it changes its plot to make it unpredictable. if sookie ended up with eric then why watch true blood? if you read you already know what will happen so why watch? the fact is the writers want to surprise the fans with new and exciting events in that world.
