It had a verry slow start and a lot of rmabling. I did fall in love with the mail charector even though I could not relate to the main charector it is kind of buffyesk. I identified the main character as cordila form the buffy serisbut still liked it. I was up set to find out the third book in the seris is out of print and hard to find. Good seris but don’t start reading till you can get all the books.

oh my gosh! i loved loved loved this series. ive read it twice in a row! and once last year. its such a great series. if u cant stand any type of luv thing in books than this isnt 4 u. but trust me i was never into the luv thing either but i luved the supernatural stuff. so a friend leant me these books and the love thing grew onto me and rele makes it a great story. ive read other teen love books but i HATE them. it makes me sick. but this isnt just all about love. its forbidden and unnnatural and survival and strength and oh my gosh theres soooo many emotions i love it. i rele wanna write a letter to lj to tell her 2 make a special fifth vampire book for all the luvers of this series. she ends it so abrupt. i understand there rele arent anyt more exciting ideas for the books anymore but come on. wut happend 2 devilish damon-did they never c him again? college? did elena turn back into a vampire? wut about matt and bonnie? or alaric? or tyler? so many unanswered things. but pleez give this book a chance. its great

I don’t know what everyone is raving about! These books are designed to feed the teeny-bopper/wannabe-goth. I didn’t care about any of the characters, and I don’t know WHY I bothered to read the whole series. If you really want good vampire books, try Laurell K. Hamilton or Nancy A. Collins. Forget this kiddy crap.

I liked this book so much I recommended it to a friend and she just loved it too and is asking for the rest of the books. I do not know about anyone else but I think I liked Damon the best even though he was ‘the bad guy’. I liked how Bonnie was psycic. That was really cool. I also liked the part where Stefan saved Elena. I think that this book and the rest of the series should really be read by someone who likes to read books about vampires, witches, ect. It was just a great book so read it! I did and I loved it!

I LIKE MANY OTHERS HAVE STARTED TO WATCH THE SHOW. I LOVE IT! SO WHEN I HEARD THERE WERE BOOKS I WAS SO EXCITED. I BOUGHT IT AND WAS SO CONFUSED AND DISAPPOINTED. THE CHARACTERS I LOVE IN THE SHOW I DONT LIKE IN THE BOOK. ELENA IS LIKE CAROLINE TO ME FROM THE SHOW AND I DONT LIEK THAT. I THINK IT WAS MADE LIEK THIS BECAUSE THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN SO LONG AGO. ITS HARD TO READ THE BOOKS AND THEN WATCH THE SHOW BECAUSE NOTHING ADDS UP. IT TOOK ME A REALLY LONG TIME TO GET INTO THE FIRST BOOK BUT ONCE IT GOT GOING I LOVED IT. IM WAITING FOR THE NEW BOOKS TO COME OUT I CANT WAIT TO READ THEM…
