The Vampire Diaries S2 Ep 4 Recap “Memory Lane”

This one is properly titled Memory Lane as it starts off with Katherine and Stefan being paired up at a party in 1864 discussing how Damon is bummed that K didn’t want to go with him. It’s actually a crazy dream sequence where they’re all suddenly in the modern times. Stefan is totally hurting to see Elena and Damon together — even if it’s just an imagined occurrence. Katherine was able to get into Stefan’s mind… She still loves him and it’s clear she’s not giving up. But you still see Damon trying to work his magic with Elena and she’s obviously resisting. Mason still refuses to give any info to Tyler about the family secret and curse… and the search for the moonstone continues. Flash back to the late 1800s, the werewolves are introduced. Katherine fills in the blanks about the werewolf gene in the Lockwood family — only SOME members are wolves. We get more insider details after Stefan and K share a seemingly intimate moment and kiss, just so S can literally stab her in the back. He locks her up and tortures her so he can get the Mystic Falls historic info. She tells him about that night at the party — how she called out George Lockwood for being a werewolf. Throughout these old scenes, you just gotta love those old school accents and speech! In the midst of all this memory lane stuff, there’s a …

I live in Sweden, and here we’re still in season 1, but i watch it online every week. And this week i waited so that i can watch like a lot of epsiodes like right after each other and i just watched Memory Lane! GOSH GOSH GOSH! I mean, Katherine loves Stefan.. or does she? And what about Damon?! And i was so confused whith that George( Lockwood) guy and Katherine? And NO!- Why did Damon do so to Mason?! AH! Im SO confused!

OMG i was soooo relieved when they showed that Stefan and Elena’s fight was fake!!!! yes! and Damon was so stupid! lol i don’t think Mason was going to kill him….

The only couple I for sure ship 100% is Damon/Elena.

I nearly cried when Stefan and Elena were breaking up I thought it was for real and then we find out they only did it to confuse caroline!!!

@Mocabean82 That’s what I used to think, but now I’ve slightly modified it so that I think she’s in love with Stefan’s idea of Katherine (used to). You can tell it totally effected her when he called her an angel, secretly…that’s what she wants and its that ideal that draws her to Stefan.
