Keep watching for all the details. Hey guys-Joslyn Davis here for ClevverTV with the inside scoop on the cast of Vampire Diaries. For most of the actors on the new show-this gig is a big break. First up is Nina Dobrev, who is the 20 year old actress playing Elena Gilbert. She was born in Bulgaria and moved to Canada with her family when she was two. In Canada, she reached success on the show “Degrassi: The Next Generation,” BUT Vampire Diaries marks her first leading TV role in the US. Her co-star, Paul Wesley, who plays the good brother Stefan Salvatore, is 27 years old. He got the acting bug in elementary school, and before joining the cast of Vampire Diaries, he had several small roles on shows like “The Guiding Light,” “Everwood,” and he is also currently appearing in episodes of “24.” The bad boy on Vampire Diaries, Damon Salvatore, is played by 31-year-old actor Ian Somerhalder. Like lots of other famous names, Ian got his start as a model at age 10, modeling for top fashion lines like Calvin Klein, and D&G. He was also the face for Guess for two consecutive fall seasons, but he doesn’t like to talk about it much because he wants to be seen as more than a pretty face. It’s Hard for me to read the books after seeing the series caus’ in the book elena is blonde and bonnie red head and all that and why could she not stop saying Salvatory What the hell was that It’s SALVATORE !
this show is nothing like the books ..except for caraters name and the name of the town not right and old stafan and damon are really soppose to be is waay wrong.
I wonder if this lady knows how much of an idiot she sounds when she pronounces Salvatore way wrong lol oh well. Ian Somerholder was in a movie called Life as a House. Hes alot younger and at one point he rides a bicycle which to me is funny cuz all I can think of is Damon when I see him! Its entertaining!

@MrMysticFallVampires what’s the problem with bonnie having red hair?in the book, she was all like friendly, girly and childish, so this was a funny idea, to have her look fit her personality and is it just me or does bonnie from the tv show just change her personality on and on?first, she was like girly and funny. then, she was shy and silent. at the end, she became all brave. im wondering how will she be like in season 2…
