@tamarexxe You call me foolish…and your series has sparkling vampires who are vegetarians and he gets a stiffy to impregnate an emotionless girl, yet vampires aren’t suppose to have blood in their bodies. That’s kind of like making Frankenstein being able to grant wishes while on a strict carb free diet. Seriously, Harry Potter made wizrards likeable, twilight made vampires gay.
@hockeyfan202 That isn’t the message at all. When does Bella commit suicide? She jumps off the cliff to be closer to Edward. It is in fact EDWARD who attempts suicide when he believes that Bella is dead. Anyway, enjoy what you wish to enjoy, but please don’t try and pass off your personal tastes as some kind of high moral ground. You come across as foolish.
@tamarexxe Well if you like twilight books or movies then I don’t care for you as a person. The twilight series has terrible morales. I see that people relate to it, but in the wrong way. The teenage girls who like it are taught that you should commit suicide if your boyfriend leaves you.

But that’s the fun thing about youtube, sharing opinions (IF it can be done in a civilized manner).. I did think Edward obsessed but then so did Bella. Edward was rude to her but nothing could knock her out of his orbit. I was never hungry to read the next page when reading Harry Potter. Twilight I picked up and went out and bought the entire set before I was halfway through the book.
@tamarexxe There’s a fine line between love and obsession and meyer crossed it in the first book. She’s a terrible writer. JK Rowling is far better than her.

@tamarexxe I agree completely. I love the way she writes. Yeah maybe she doesn’t use ginourmous words but I don’t want to have to refer to a dictionnary everytime I want to read a book. She created a magical world with characters that will never be forgotten. I don’t like J.K Rowling, her books are so complicated. I don’t get why people want to read about witches. But, whatevss.
@Robpattzlover109 Frankly its far better written than the JK Rowling junk. I don’t read Stephen King, although he is technically a good writer, he has no soul, and I could care less about anything or anyone he has ever written about. Stephenie Meyer wrote beautifully about the feelings of over powering love in a way that touched many of us forever. Bella and Edward and Jacob are one of the most exquisite love triangles in the history of literature.

@M1dn19h75un Have you actually read the books? Bella is not outgoing at all. She is extremely shy and maladroit. Edward should look 17, but he is also amazingly handsome, which Robert Pattinson does just fine. I agree with you about Rosalie. She is way too over madeup. Alice is absolutely perfect and looks exactly like I pictured Alice in the books. Emmett is powerfully built, and Jasper is pretty good too, although they all look a bit too old for highschool kids.
@tamarexxe AGREED! None of the cast look like they should. Edward should be more childish or more teenaged looked. Jacob should look older and be taller than 6 foot. Bella is too awkward, the Bella in the book was more outgoing. Jasper shouldn’t look like he’s stoned, Rosalie shouldn’t look like a drag queen. Nikki Reed looks prettier as a brunet not blonde.
Emo = Emotional. Who said vampires should die in the sun? It’s more awesome that they don’t, because then it’s harder to kill them. Don’t you think?
I just wish this was half as good as the book. The books are massively great. The movies are good but Taylor Lautner is too little to be Jacob and totally miscast.

Sure it’s not up there with Stephen King or J.K Rowling but I like it. It doesn’t make it complicated to read where you have to go back and reread something just to understand it. Yeah, maybe it’s an easy read, but I personally think that it’s nice to just lose yourself in a book like these. Do I think I’m going to get some bad messages about this? Yep, I sure do. But it’s okay because I’m going to be proud to say that I’m a Twilight fan and, if you don’t like it, oh well.
But, you know what, it’s nice to have a female character to relate to. Sometimes it’s nice to lose yourself in a fantasy world, just for a little bit when you’re reading, to escape reality. Some people, like myself, need that. She loves Edward so much and she wants to be with him, even though she knows being with him may kill her someday. Maybe that sounds crazy to some people, but, unless you feel like that for someone, you wouldn’t know. Personally, I like the way Stephenie Meyer writes.

These two people love each other so much that they want to be together, but they know they can’t because they are from two completely different worlds. Without cliches. There’s some scenes that I just can’t watch. They’re getting better as they go, so I’m hoping the last two are better than the first three, but still. Will I always watch them? Yes.
