Many cultures across the globe have vampire myths. There are some similarities between each and there are some huge differences.

I believe there is usually some small kernel of truth in myths.

I don’t believe that vampires are super sexy walking undead who can seduce with a look.

i only believe in dracula. he is real. he is the cause of all that is bad. when all else fails just blame it on dracula. he did it.

“Vampires” are real just not the hollywood stereo type. A few of my friends are sanguinarian or psi vamps, though yoou would never know it and they dont generally advertise.

Siding with HappilyPagan here. There are legit vamps, most commonly psi, meaning they correspond to someone’s energy, or aura, rather than blood. (Too much crap in blood nowadays, anyway! haha.)

But the vampires that AREN’T real are the ones that are post-Anne Rice and Twilight sort of stuff. (Anne Rice wrote “Interview with the Vampire” back in like the 70s and changed the ideals of vampires to what we know today, rather than what really goes on.) There’s a bunch of mythology and whatnot surrounding vampires, and there’s always a grain of truth in myths, never forget that.

Well there are two types of vampire, but I only find validity in one of them.

Sang vampires usually have donors (volunteers) who will give the vampire some of their blood. If not from donors, they can buy it from a butcher. Most sangs are solitary but there are many websites like Yahoo! Groups where they congregate and find others like themselves that will support them. There are probably more than we think but I know my tri-state area does not have many. There will always be pieces missing because so many people ridicule sanguine vampires and they find it better to keep to themselves. It’s very very hard to understand their lifestyle but if you ask openly and without prejudice, they’ll answer your questions.

Don’t think they are anything like Twilight, Buffy, or Underworld makes them out to be. They are just like you and me, only they prefer some warm O+ with their dinner instead of a glass of red wine =)

How do I know this? I asked.

I know they’re real, I mean anything is possible, but I’m pretty sure i’m not one, and despite the flaws, i’m proud to be human:)

Yes we are real. we are nothing like movie or tv make use out to be, infact compared to them we are barely recognizable. and a note, vampire rarely use computers to talk to each other and none use it to find other vampires, so most sites out there are fakes, just so you know. how and there is a another misconceptions that i want to clear, there are only one kind of vampire and two ways of feeding it would be the same as saying the a vegetarian is not human. and last vampires are born not made, biting and blood transfusion’s will not make you a vampire, only poeple born to be vampire can be vampires.

if you have more questions please feel free to email me, i am happy to answer.
