Not good. While the books were a light, breezy, fun read, they also unleashed Twilight fan girls upon us. Every day we’re bombarded by people begging to be bitten and turned, which isn’t possible, thinking that they’ll never die and be beautiful forever and be amazingly strong. No one bothers to actually do their research.

Edit: But Julia, don’t you just wanna cover yourself in glitter and have them all throw money at you? :P

    Vampires don’t sparkle.

The next weird lil Twilight fangirl that throws a sack of glitter at me is gonna die.

If her book was an interpretation why did she label it under fiction? ._. Hun, they don’t exist. I was seriously thinking about playing with your head and saying I am one. But, that’s cruel. I’ve done it before and they believed me. But I realized, I’m just helping people dig themselves into a bigger dreamworld. There are no vampires, and the people on here who are ignorant and prclaim themsleves to be one, I shun them. I think vampires stand for something bigger, like a feeling, not a monster. Vampires indicate change to me.

Twilight is Stephanie Meyer’s creation, she can make Vampires in her world anyway she wants that’s the fun of being an author. The books were a good read, and the movies was….alright. It’s all the fan girls bombarding our forums and chat that are irritating. And i’m not even going to bother answering their little vampire questions on YA anymore, i fear for my blood pressure.

I saw the movie, but haven’t read the books.

I don’t mind that her vampires sparkle in the sunlight. A writer of fiction can do whatever she wants with her characters. I think her vampires are pretty shallow, though.

I haven’t been on the real vampire forums much lately, so except for Y!A, I haven’t had to deal with Twilight fans who want to be “turned”. If someone should email me with such a request, I’ll just tell them it’s not possible.

i don’t care what Stephanie Meyer’s makes her vampires do as long as the Fan-pires don’t start bugging to turn them or ask me why i don’t sparkle like there darling Edward.

Ah, Twilight. It really is a great book, but it is completely fiction, on all accounts. As a real vampire, I am annoyed by all the kids asking to be turned. I wish that people would do a little research for themselves. I mean, come on, we dont sparkle in the sunlight. No one does(unless they wear ungodly amounts of glitter).

    Real vamps are going: WTF?

Real Writers are going WTF too. Did you hear where Stephen King compared Meyers/Twilight to Rowling/Potter? Said both were tween books and have hit the target audience, but he thinks Rowling is a better writer. I lol’d (literally)

I read all four of the books, liked them. But the worst part is that it makes younger people think that they are vampires.
